Yes, completely. You can create an account, make picks on every card, and compete on the leaderboard without ever paying anything. The only optional extra is donating on the Support page, which simply helps cover the cost of running the site.
Open the home page, find the next card, and tap the fighter you think wins each bout. You can pick as many or as few fights as you like. For bonus points you can also call how the fight ends and the round it finishes in. Picks save instantly and you can change them any time before the card locks.
Each fight is worth up to 20 points: 10 for the correct winner, 5 for the correct method (KO/TKO, submission, or decision), and 5 for the correct round of a finish. The method and round bonuses only count if you also picked the right winner. Pick the wrong winner and you score nothing for that fight.
Picks for a card lock 30 minutes before its first fight. Until then you can add, remove, or change any pick as often as you want. Once a card locks, those picks are final, so nobody can predict a result they have already seen.
Not to play. You can sign up, make picks, and appear on the leaderboard without verifying. You only need to verify your email if you want to be eligible for cash prizes, which helps keep prize cards fair and free of duplicate accounts.
Selected cards may offer cash prizes for the top finishers on that card. Entry is always free. Eligibility just requires a verified email and a payout handle saved in your profile. KOVotes is a free-to-enter prediction game, not a gambling site, so you never wager or risk any money.
Fight cards, matchups, and official results come from Wikipedia, which the MMA community keeps up to date. Event start times come from ESPN so each card locks at the right moment. Results are pulled in automatically and usually post within minutes of a fight being decided.
Points are your total score and decide your rank. Accuracy is the share of your scored picks that were correct, so a player who picks fewer fights but nails them can post high accuracy without leading on points. Streak counts how many of your most recent picks were correct in a row.
No. Picking more fights gives you more chances to score points, while picking selectively can boost your accuracy. The strategy is up to you.

Your password is stored only as a secure hash and is never visible to anyone, including us. We do not sell your data. You can change your email, change your username, or delete your account at any time from your profile. The Privacy Policy has the full details.
